Read the book, Dr. Frankenstein's bastard child of science never actually dies. How can he? He's pretty much invulnerable to anything that would end a living person because he wasn't ever, in his recreated state, truly alive.

What if Frankensteins Adam hadn't actually just frose to death, or burned to death, or whatever the hell he deduced he would do with himself, but actually had traveled to North America, and lived there during the fight for the west, and suffered with the Native Americans through Manifest Destiny, and worked the railroads with Chinese settlers, and learned Tiger-Crane Shaolin martial arts, leading to an epic battle with megabear pending the birth of bridge city!!!?

That sounds like a story I'd like to read.
